Als ich in Hamburg bei einem Pressetag war, um mich nach den neuen Trends zu erkundigen, ist mir eine Reihe Dufflecoats (eng. duffel coat) auch Düffelmäntel aufgefallen. Der Klassiker hat wieder an Aufmerksamkeit gewonnen. Im traditionellen Sinne ist ein Dufflecoat ein dreiviertellanger Mantel aus schwerer Wolle mit einer Kapuze und Knebelverschlüssen aus Horn oder Holz. Heutzutage existieren sie in verschiedensten Schnitt- und Längenvarianten. Dennoch hat dieser Mantel seinen Wiedererkennungswert! Was ist an diesem Mantel so besonders? In erster Linie ist ein Düffelmantel für die kalten Tagen geeignet. Auch die typischen Merkmale, wie die interessanten Knebelknöpfe und Kapuze machen ihn so beliebt. Bei vielen neuen Modellen ist eine Kapuze nicht unbedingt zwingend, wie bei dem eleganten Modell von Menil, das ich auf dem Bild an habe. Der Dufflecoat, vor allem mit einer Kapuze, ist ideal für die Freizeit. Aber auch fürs Büro, wenn es sich um die eleganten Modelle handelt, ist dieser Mantel eine großartige Alternative in der kalten Jahreszeit. Außerdem ist ein Dufflecoat bequem, vielseitig kombinierbar und sieht toll aus!

As I was in Hamburg at a press day to inquire about the new trends, I noticed a number of duffel coats. This classic has regained attention. In the traditional sense, a duffel coat is a three quarters long coat made of heavy wool with a hood and toggle locks of horn or wood. Today, it exists in various versions and cutting length. Nevertheless, this coat has its recognition! What is so special about this jacket? First of all, a duffel coat is suitable for the cold days. The typical characteristics, such as the interesting toggles and hood, make it so popular as well. Actually, a hood is not mandatory any more, as in the elegant duffel coat of Menil, I have on in the picture. A duffel coat, especially with a hood one, is ideal for leisure. But also for the office, if it is an elegant variation, this jacket is a great alternative in the cold season. In addition, a duffel coat is comfortable, versatile combinable and looks great!
