LAFORMELA SS26 COLLECTION

LAFORMELA unveiled its MAINLINE 2026 collection during an official presentation in Paris (SS26 Season)— a premiere entry into this highly curated market, underscoring the brand’s growing ambitions and its long-term strategy aimed at international positioning. The new collection reflects a fundamental evolution not only in terms of design language, but also in the development process, material research, and clearly articulated commercial potential.

The collection is built on contrasts and a carefully calibrated aesthetic tension. Precisely constructed silhouettes move between disciplined tailoring and calculated experimentation. LAFORMELA expresses its design approach through strong narrative elements — future-retro, technological finishes, eclecticism, and a newly defined femininity. Central to the collection’s development was systematic material and technical research, with the team focusing on sourcing innovative textiles (burn-out denim, vegan leather) and aesthetic reinterpretations of key womenswear archetypes.

LAFORMELA explores bold volumes and hybrid cuts — from radically feminine evening pieces to functionally conceived outerwear. At the forefront is a newly developed knitwear line: hand- and machine-knitted garments in a range of proportions (tank tops, dresses, oversized sweaters), executed in a unique nylon-wool yarn with a sheer finish. This segment expands the brand’s DNA into a highly wearable product category with clear commercial viability.

Structurally, the collection leverages modular layering, optical contrasts between matte and gloss surfaces, and precise perforation — expressed through leather piercing as well as hand-applied metal components integrated into eveningwear pieces, with some dresses featuring over 4,000 elements. These pieces required more than 200 hours of craftsmanship and, beyond their artisanal excellence, also reference the historical narrative tied to Francesca Kolowrat, a managing partner of the brand.

The color palette is strategically divided by material groups. Black dominates silhouettes crafted from vegan leather and wool blends — coats, vests, shorts, and evening dresses. Indigo denim is featured across segments, from tailoring to casualwear. White appears in sheer knits and burn-out denim. The collection also introduces clearly wearable and commercially strong staples, such as a grey silk officewear set and a striped cotton shirt with structured padding.

LAFORMELA expands its product offering with signature accessories that hold strong positioning potential: ankle-high hybrid footwear (merging silhouettes of riding boots, heels, and moccasins), a reimagined calfskin handbag, and for the first time — a limited-edition pair of sunglasses, entirely handcrafted. Leather belts with metal embellishing extend the brand’s ongoing punk-driven design signature.

The final menswear look — a heavyweight hooded knit paired with brown cargo pants and shearling-lined moccasins — is not an outlier, but a clear signal of the brand’s intention to expand its portfolio into unisex and forward-thinking menswear offerings. The MAINLINE 2026 collection proves that LAFORMELA not only possesses a distinctive visual language but also a well-structured product ecosystem, fully capable of performing within the context of global fashion retail. The Paris debut is not a retrospective gesture, but a definitive start of a new phase — grounded in craftsmanship, aesthetic clarity, and a strategic expansion of brand identity.
