Zwischen den Ufern des Nils und den Tiefen der äthiopischen Wälder gelegen: Stine Goya ließ sich für ihre PS20 Kollektion von Giuseppe Verdis renommierter Oper Aida inspirieren – eine lebhafte und doch tragische Darstellung von zerrissenen Leben und zerstörten Nationen im Kampf zwischen Liebe und Loyalität.
Ausgehend von der reichen Ikonographie der alt-ägyptischen Kunst erweckt die Kollektion mit ihrem saisonalem Mix aus handgezeichneten Prints das Leben von Verdis Protagonisten zum Leben. Aidas charakteristische Jasminblüte, ein Symbol für Schönheit und Sinnlichkeit, zieht sich durch fünf Farbwelten. Die starke Silhouette und die kräftigen Farbtöne des Monika-Kleids mit golddurchwobenem Finish verbinden Aidas königliche Linie mit der Lebensquelle der ägyptischen Kultur – dem Nil. In Kontrast dazu steht das Poppy Top mit Rüschenkragen in frischem Aqua und Flieder und präsentiert damit die hellere, verspielte Natur der Kollektion.
Elemente der alt-ägyptischen Kultur werden durch die Goya-Linse interpretiert, von Hieroglyphen über Manuskript-Zeichnungen bis hin zu historischer Symbolik. Schlangen, Papyrus-Schilf und Lotusblüten fügen sich nahtlos mit kontrastierenden Paletten ein – repräsentativ für den Gegensatz zwischen Tag und Nacht, Krieg und Frieden. Die Auswahl an Lila-Tönen und Goya-Pinks gibt sich weich und romantisch während tiefes Mokka, reiche Goldfarben und Dahlien-Rot an die Antike und deren frühere Pracht angelehnt sind.

Nestled between the banks of the Nile and the depths of the Ethiopian forests, Stine Goya was inspired by Giuseppe Verdi’s prestigious opera Aida for her PS20 collection – a vivid yet tragic account of torn lives and devastated nations in the battle between love and loyalty.
Based on the rich iconography of ancient Egyptian art, the collection brings the life of Verdi’s protagonists to life with a seasonal mix of hand-drawn prints. Aida’s signature jasmine flower, a symbol of beauty and sensuality, runs through five color worlds. The strong silhouette and rich tones of Monika dress with a gold-wrought finish combine Aida’s royal line with the source of Egyptian culture – the Nile. In contrast, the Poppy Top with ruffled collar in fresh aqua and lilac presents the brighter, playful nature of the collection.
Elements of the ancient Egyptian culture are interpreted by the Goya lens, from hieroglyphics to manuscript drawings to historical symbolism. Snakes, papyrus reeds and lotus flowers blend seamlessly with contrasting palettes – representative of the contrast between day and night, war and peace. The selection of purple tones and Goya pinks are soft and romantic while deep mocha, rich gold and dahlia red are reminiscent of antiquity and their former glory.
