SAN SAN GEAR explores this paradoxical state of connectivity through the metaphor of ‘CABLE,’ reinterpreting the aesthetics of utility through a contemporary lens and translating it into the overall mood of the collection.
Rather than viewing CABLE simply as a conduit for transmitting energy and information, SAN SAN GEAR reinterprets it as a passage connecting the exterior and interior, as well as a boundary that defines an individual’s personal space, transforming the concept into a structural element integral to the garments. While maintaining a smooth and restrained exterior, the collection utilizes high-density shell fabrics engineered with intricate utility in mind, emphasizing the functional purpose that exists beyond the surface. The organic lines of CABLE are translated into precise seam lines and seamless construction, giving rise to refined silhouettes formed through the integration of fragmented patterns. Hidden utility elements such as internal strings and lines are designed to be adjusted according to the wearer’s individual condition, offering a personalized wearing experience that allows each individual to establish their own sense of balance rather than conforming to external standards.
The 2026 F/W campaign visuals incorporate elements that intuitively reveal SAN SAN GEAR’s reinterpretation of CABLE.
